Outage:

ELECTRICAL OUTAGES

Two electrical power outages have been schedule for the following buildings:

Power Outage No. 1:
The Power Outage will start Friday June 26 at 6 p.m. and continue for 2 hours ending on Friday, June 26th at 8 p.m.
Power Outage No. 2:
The power Outage will start Sunday, June 28 at 2 p.m. and continue for 2 hours ending on Sunday, June 28th at 4 p.m.
The reason for the outage is to replace [2] 1000KVA 13.2KV to 480V transformers at Communications` East and West Chiller building.
Definition: A Power Outage (PO) is described as any schedule event greater than 2 hours. This power outage consists of operating 13.2KV circuit switch at the main substation. (Circuit Outage)

STEAM OUTAGE:

A Campus-wide steam outage is scheduled to begin Friday June 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM with steam scheduled to be restored by Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 5:00 PM. This outage will affect all buildings that receive steam from the Campus steam distribution system.

The reason for the outage is to make repairs on the main steam piping near the Gibbs Hall construction site.

Systems affected may include domestic water heating, sterilizers, autoclaves, cage washers, dish washers, and building heating. In some of the newer buildings with variable air volume air distribution systems, colder than normal room temperatures may be experienced.


HPER REPAIR NOTICE:

A recent roof leak resulted in damage to several areas in the HPER building.
Water damaged the hardwood floors and ceilings in five handball courts a squash court a portion of room 202A and 202B where the rock climbing wall area is located.
These specific areas will be closed while repairs are completed for at least the next six to eight weeks.
Classes that take place in room 202B will be relocated to the unaffected portion of HPER room 202A until further notice.
Crews from two different contractors are currently drying the walls and ceilings in the affected areas and wet floors have also been removed to prevent further damage and to make way for new flooring.
Roofing repairs are expected to take placed during the same six to eight week time period and Facilities Services crews are monitoring the damaged roof to ensure no further damage to the interior of the building.

Fire Alarm Testing:


An outage is scheduled for Andy Holt Tower and Student Services from 6 p.m. Friday, June 26 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28.
The Power outage will affect Air Conditioning, Electric Power, Elevators, and Fire Alarm systems in each building.
The purpose of this outage is to install two 1000KVA Transformers in the Communications Chiller Building.
